1. What this covers

This describes what data Basly Insights (the “Service”) collects, how we use it, and your choices. By using the Service you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Service.

2. What we collect

• Account: your name and email from sign-in.
• Your business: the address and segment you enter (used to define your trade area).
• Data you connect or upload: only what you choose: e.g. an authorized Google/POS/social account, or a bookings file you upload. Uploaded files are summarized in your browser; the raw rows are not sent to us. We store only the derived summary.
• Usage analytics:product events (pages viewed, features used) to understand and improve the Service. We do not put your business's financial figures in analytics.

Public data we fetch for your area (e.g. Census demographics, open business listings) is about the area, not about you.

3. How we use it

To compute your market profile and your own numbers, to build anonymized local benchmarks (below), to operate and improve the Service, and to communicate with you about it.

4. Anonymized benchmarks

With your consent we derive anonymized, aggregated metrics from your connected/uploaded data to build local benchmarks. We store derived metrics (percentiles, banded values), not your raw records. Benchmarks are shown only across enough distinct businesses that no individual can be identified, and never reveal a specific shop's numbers. Exact figures, address, and identity stay in your private account.

5. What we don't do

We don't sell your personal data. We don't share your raw or identifiable business data with other users or third parties. We access only the accounts you connect yourself, and no others.

6. Sharing

We use service providers (e.g. hosting and analytics) to run the Service; they process data on our behalf under their terms. We may disclose data if required by law.

7. Retention & your choices

You can delete a business to remove its stored data, disconnect a connected account at any time, or email us to request access to or deletion of your data. We keep data only as long as needed to provide the Service.
